Jazz violinist, Kit Eakle inaugurated an idea 5 or 6 years back, bringing together the music of Thelonious Sphere Monk, and Django Reinhardt. As violinist he felt that these two unique innovators in jazz much in common as individualistic proponents of their respective instruments (piano, and guitar. But as violinist he felt that both his own instrument, the violin, and Django's music was not taken seriously in the mainstream jazz world.

When the opportunity to join forces with one of the finest jazz AND gypsy Jazz guitarists in the world, Howard Alden, it has proved a 'match made in heaven' making this a rewarding outing for fans of both genres while bringing the gypsy into the mainstream.
